PRC national jailed for touching chest of polytechnic student in toilet

A 22 year old PRC national Zhong Yichao was jailed four months for molesting a 21 year old woman in the toilet of a karaoke lounge at Chinatown.
The victim, a polytechnic student was washing her hands when she felt Zhong touching her chest from behind. She shoved him away immediately and Zhong tried to leave the lounge before he was detained by the staff. The police was called and he was arrested on the spot.
Zhong had earlier offer to settle the matter privately with the student out of court, but she refused to compound it.
Born in Shandong province, China, Zhong earns about $1,000 monthly as an electrical and electronic equipment assembler. He came to Singapore for his apprenticeship in 2010 after completing a vocational certificate in Mechanics in China.
It is not known if Zhong is a Singapore PR or new citizen. He could have been jailed two years and jailed for using criminal force to outrage the modesty of a person.
